Port Erin Commissioners Chairman Nick Watterson has signed up for the major challenge of cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in aid of the Children's Centre (www.thechildrenscentre.org.im)
Along with fellow Aon work colleagues Gaynor Brough and Michelle Meakin, the challenge will see the team cover almost 1,000 miles in nine days.
Nick said, "This really is probably one of the toughest challenges I've ever undertaken, but a fabulous way to see a lot of England & Scotland. I'm sure it will rank up there with one of the most rewarding things to ever do. It is equally rewarding to know that The Children's Centre, who are a fantastic Manx charity striving to put young children and families first, will benefit from everyone taking part in this challenge.
Any donations will be greatly received via my Just Giving page, which sends your donation straight to The Children's Centre and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more. Here’s hoping for your support!" Nick concluded,"The challenge starts at Land's End at 8:45am on Friday 1st July. Please click on the link below to discover more about the challenge and
hopefully offer to help in some small way."
