Port Erin Commissioners has announced that it will not be
hosting its fireworks display on 5 November this year.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and with the borders remaining
closed, the Board has agreed that the budget allocation would be better spent
this year on bringing people into Port Erin for a greater number of events over
the summer period rather than just one event in November. The move is aimed to increase footfall to Port
Erin and further support the shops and businesses within the village.
The Commissioners’ staff have already been supporting local
businesses since the Covid 19 restrictions have been lifted and will continue to
work on encouraging visitors to Port Erin.
There are a number of events already scheduled which the
Commissioners will be supporting so please follow the Visit Port Erin &
Commissioners websites and social media to keep up to date with what’s on. Release date 30 June 2020
