Membership is open to anyone involved in the business life
of Port Erin. The Association aims to support and promote businesses in the
Port. We also strive to promote the village in general and what it has to
offer, having involvement in village events such as Island at War, Beach
Festival, Port Erin Hidden Gardens, Christmas Festival etc. The very successful
Meet + Greet service is an offshoot of PETA. We have also produced several
leaflets promoting Port Erin and what it has to offer, and have been
responsible for the erection of 7 interpretative display boards around the
We have a close liaison with our Commissioners, and with
other bodies such as the IOM Railways, Rushen Heritage Trust, Manx National Heritage etc.
Membership fees are due in January annually and cost £30 per
annum which includes a £10 contribution towards the cost of the printing of the
Port Erin map / guide which is a project of the Traders Association / Commissioners.
The Association meets monthly on the second Monday of each
month at 6pm. The usual venue is the Cherry Orchard Hotel.
