Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne MHK is encouraging people to make their voices heard and help shape the future of their local communities.
The Minister says that next year’s local authority elections will provide the people of the Isle of Man with an opportunity to influence how their towns, villages, ports and parishes are run.
Public sector rents are set to rise by 2.6%, with effect from 01 April 2016.
The increase is in line with the Isle of Man’s annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI). Announced by the Department of Infrastructure and endorsed by the Council of Ministers, the rise will result in average rent increases of between £1.39 a week for a one-bedroom flat and £2.94 a week for a four-bedroom house.
In accordance with the Audit Act 2006 and Section 16 (1) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2007, I hereby give notice that the Auditors report for the year ended 31st March 2015 has been received and the report together with the accounts can be inspected at The Commissioner’s Office, Bridson Street, Port Erin during normal office hours.
