Refuse Collections continue to run as normal

Refuse Collections continue to run as normal

Our refuse teams continue to work within methods that protect them from catching or spreading the COVID-19 virus.

To help us provide this service to you, we politely request on their behalf that you:-

1) Please ensure your wheelie bin is at the curtilage of your property by 7am as rounds will be starting early.

2) Please stay clear from staff when they are collecting bins or working in public areas . Stay in your house.

3) If possible clean the handle of your bin and have the handle facing out so they only have to handle the bin as little as possible.

4) We do not collect side waste and the Southern Civic Amenity Site is closed for the foreseeable future so please do not overload your bins unnecessarily. Whilst a household sort out or garden tidy up at the moment may seem like a nice idea, is it essential?

5) Recycling points around the village remain open at the moment. If you have space at home to keep recyclables for the short term in a yard, garage or shed, please do so. Is it really an essential trip to head out to the bring banks? Stay at home - Save lives.

5) If you are self isolating, please double bag any waste before depositing in the wheelie bin, but only after 72 hours in line with public health guidelines.

Our own workers and other contractors continue to provide key services. If you see them please by all means show your appreciation (from a suitable distance) as whilst there may be delay or restrictions to normal services, they are all working hard in difficult circumstances.

Remember - Stay at Home - Save Lives
