Department of Infrastructure 20mph Consultation |

 |
The Department of Infrastructure is seeking feedback on speed limits on residential roads in the Isle of Man. The implementation has received the support of Tynwald and reaffirms motions form 2020 and 2023 that the Island's residentail areas and school zones should be 20mph by default. An initial Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) highlighting proposed changes was advertised for a period of two weeks in March 2025. An extended period of public consultation has since been established as a continuation of this process. You can find more about the consultation HERE on the Department's website. We have large printed maps at both the Commissioners' Office and the George Herdman Library with the current and proposed speed limited areas. You can download and information sheet and feedback form via the links below: Information Sheet Feedback Form
