Statement regarding the Port Erin (Boundary
Extension) Order 2019
At its meeting on Tuesday 16 July, the Board of Port Erin
Commissioners discussed the letter received at 13:15 on 12 July from the
Department of Infrastructure’s Chief Executive Mr Nick Black informing the Board that the Port Erin (Boundary Extension) Order 2019 could not be progressed at the July sitting of Tynwald as had been planned as the Department had received an application for a boundary extension from Rushen Parish Commissioners to include the whole of the Ballakilley Estate.
The Board expressed its shock and surprise by the timing of
the boundary extension application submitted by Rushen Parish Commissioners and
will await a discussion with the Department of Infrastructure.
