What matters to you in Port Erin? Is it the facilities within the village, the need for more activities for young people, improving services for older people, attracting visitors, making best use of the best beach on the Island or working to build an environment in which local businesses can thrive? Whatever needs changing in Port Erin, you could be just the person to change it by becoming a Port Erin Commissioner. Perhaps you are already involved in your community and local affairs and want to take the next step. Or you may be looking for a worthwhile and rewarding way to help your fellow residents. There are seven seats on the Board of Port Erin Commissioners, with each elected Commissioner representing their local community and all with their own reason for doing so. In order to be truly democratic, local authorities need to be representative of their community. To make the best decisions, Commissioners need to draw on a wide range of skills, experience and knowledge of what the local community wants and needs. Local authorities need people from all parts of the community who can bring their own perspective on what is needed locally. Are you ready to help change the face of Port Erin Commissioners on July 22nd 2021 ? If so, feel free speak to the Clerk on 832298 or get in touch with any of our existing board members.
