Port Erin Commissioners is pleased to announce that a planning application has been submitted for the former Fire Station on Droghadfayle Road for change of use to accommodate group exercise and 1:1 personal training sessions.
Chair of Port Erin Commissioners, Mr Godfrey Egee commented, “Having sought expressions of interest in November 2022 and the subsequent tender process, the Board selected Southern Fitness as its preferred tenant for the property. The change of use application, if approved, will see the former fire station adapted into a fantastic fitness centre with a well-established operator running many groups finding a permanent home within Port Erin.”
Owner of Southern Fitness, Mrs Sarah Fisher added, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to have a permanent base in Port Erin. Having operated for just over a year, Southern Fitness currently runs 10 classes a week and with a dedicated home, we plan to extend the classes and opportunities for 1:1 training. Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels, and the timetable includes sessions where parents can bring their little ones along with them.”
