A Two Minute Silence in remembrance of all those who have died in the service of their country will be observed in Port Erin at 11.00am on:-
Saturday 11th November (Armistice Day)
and
Sunday 12th November (Remembrance Sunday)
Arrangements have been made to give warning of the precise moment at which the Two Minute Silence will begin and end.
The full co-operation of the public in the observance of the Two Minute Silence is requested. The suspension of all vehicular traffic between 11.00am and 11.02am on the designated days is also requested and it is especially hoped that drivers of motor vehicles will stop the engines of vehicles during the periods of silence.
On Remembrance Sunday a wreath laying ceremony at the Memorial Hall Garden of the British Legion Hall at 10:00am will be followed by a parade which departs at 10:15am to Rushen Parish Church (bus is also available) for the act of remembrance at the war memorial commencing at 10:45am.
